How to Set Up AFS
- Download the NCSU AFS package from http://www.ncsu.edu/mac/downloads/openafs.ncsu.pkg.zip
- Double click on the file you just downloaded to unzip the package if it hasn’t already been unzipped
- Double click on the .pkg file to begin the install.
- At the introduction screen, click Continue
- At the next screen, click Continue again, ignore the information about this package being for OS 10.1

- Read the license agreement and then click Continue
- Click agree in the dialouge box that pops up
- At the next screen, choose the disk where you want to install AFS and click Continue

- At the next screen click Install
- Enter your password when prompted
- When a dialouge box appears asking if you want to install the software now, click Continue Installation

- When the installation finishes, click Restart
- Double click the Mount_AFS application located in your Applications folder
- Enter your password when prompted
- Enter your unity id and password when prompted for your Kerberos Password

- At the next dialouge click Great! AFS should now be mounted on your desktop as well as in the /afs directory.
- There is also a folder on your desktop called AFSHOME, this will take you directly to your AFS space when AFS is mounted.
